It has always been my dream to open my very own catering and cake business. Good food has always been a part of my life. My parents owned the Purple Porpoise in Maitland, Florida for over 25 years. I worked in their restaurant business for many years. After high school I attended the University of Central Florida and obtained my degree in Hospitality Management. I had the opportunity to work in many hotels and restaurants after graduation.
In 2007 my dream came true when I created Effie’s Culinary Delights. I specialize in smaller events like baby showers, Baptisms, birthday parties and in-home events. I have a passion for good food and I love to see people enjoying what I have created. Care and pride go into everything I make. I also love creating beautiful cakes and cupcakes for all occasions.
In 2007 I joined the Confectionery Artists Guild of Orlando. This is an organization where various cake decorators assemble and promote their passion and talents in cake decorating and sugar art. I also had the opportunity in 2006 to study under Collette Peters from the Food Network. This was an amazing experience and I learned a lot. I can’t wait for you to try one of my amazing creations!
